The Gap Analysis was produced as part of the project “Breaking the Silence: Enhancing Whistleblowing Policies and Culture in the Western Balkans and Moldova”, funded by the European Union. The project aims to help partners from the beneficiary jurisdictions to improve whistleblower reporting channels and protection mechanisms; strengthen the capacity of civil society to support whistleblowers; and raise public awareness of the importance of whistleblowing in the fight against corruption.

Whistleblowing Learning Platform

Together, we offer a learning platform for whistleblowing enforcement and oversight bodies and other practitioners to share experiences and cooperate across SEE countries in enhancing the whistleblower protection. We advocate for the development and implementation of improved whistleblowing legal instruments and high professional standards in line with the EU Whistleblowing Directive. We have more than 50 representatives from ministries of justice, anti-corruption agencies or other whistleblowing enforcement bodies, representatives of EU delegations, and CSOs, and an ever growing number of partners, working on improved protection of whistleblowers.
