ZAGREB, 17-19 October 2023 – The Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative Secretariat represented by Nikola Naumovski, Senior Anti-corruption Adviser, participated in a three-day workshop on anti-money laundering “Where Theory Meets Practice”, organized by RACVIAC – Centre for Security Cooperation in partnership with the Regional Anticorruption Initiative (RAI) and the Department for Forensic Sciences of the University of Split.
This joint initiative is aimed at establishing a regional platform for addressing transformation processes in South East European (SEE) countries in view of governance improvement by implementing and sharing Forensic Science information across state services.
In his opening remarks, RAI Senior Anti-corruption Advisor Nikola Naumovski, emphasized the importance of joint activity: “In this three-day workshop we will have a lot of quite distinguished panels and interesting topics but also case studies and experiences from practice that will be used in money laundering future work.” He also presented the scope of work of his organization.
RACVIAC Director Constantin-Mihail Grigorie, emphasized the need to extend lines of action to other ministries, governmental and non-governmental organizations besides the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Ministries of Defence, and Ministries of Interior, to provide all with a greater amount of professional assistance and opportunities for cooperation.”
