RAI Senior Anti-Corruption Advisor presented RAI activities at the regional seminar “Prevention and Sanctioning the Corruption” in Skopje

Skopje, November 9th – RAI Senior Anti-corruption Advisor presented the RAI activities towards strengthening the regional cooperation between the integrity bodies and the judiciary with a focus on the future challenges in the implementation of the International Treaty for Exchange of Data for the Verification of Asset Declarations at the regional seminar “Prevention and Sanctioning the Corruption- the perspectives of France and South East Europe in the organization of the Embassy of France in North Macedonia. The opening speeches were delivered by Mr. Nikola Tupanceski, the Minister of Justice, and the Ambassador of France to North Macedonia Mr. Cyrille Baumgatner.

The Conference represented a unique opportunity for exchange of the good practices among the judges, prosecutors, and members of the integrity bodies of France, Cyprus, Montenegro, Kosovo*, and North Macedonia on the role of national anti-corruption agencies, the role of anti-corruption training, the novelties towards increasing the efficiency in the verification of the asset and conflict of interest declarations, including the digitalization, the importance of international cooperation and effective sanctioning of corruption and organized crime acts.
