Tirana, 28 June 2024 – Intending to enhance regional cooperation, Ms. Desislava Gotskova, Head of the RAI Secretariat, and Dr. Gjergj Murra, Executive Director of the Western Balkans Fund (WBF), came together to formalize a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The signing ceremony, held at the WBF Secretariat in Tirana, Albania, solidified the commitment of our two organizations to combating corruption in the region.
With the MoU now in place, our organizations are poised to boost collaboration and drive impactful initiatives that benefit the citizens of the region. Key priorities include raising awareness, building regional networks, and sharing valuable knowledge and best practices.
Dr. Gjergj Murra emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, “This MoU is a significant milestone towards creating a more transparent and accountable future for our region. We are grateful to RAI for embracing this new era of cooperation.”
The MoU also paves the way for joint projects that will contribute to our shared goal of promoting integrity and fighting corruption across the region. Together, we are eager to make meaningful progress in our collective mission.
The Western Balkans Fund (WBF) is an international organization located in Tirana, Albania, founded by the governments of Western Balkans jurisdictions. WBF aims to promote cooperation and the common values between citizens, civil society and people to people contacts, by providing funding for small and medium projects, in the following key areas.
