In a momentous gathering on February 2, 2024, the Centre of Crime and Security Sciences of the Universities of Trento and of Verona (Italy) hosted the kick-off meeting for the ambitious project titled “Towards Contemporary Knowledge and Innovative Tools for Assessing and Enhancing Effectiveness of Asset and Interest Disclosure (AID) Systems in EU Member States and Candidate States.”
The meeting, held in the picturesque city of Verona, provided a comprehensive introduction to the 2-year interdisciplinary Project. Attendees, including the Project coordinator and all project partners, had an opportunity to define the project’s activities and commitments for the coming two years. This meeting set the foundation for a coordinated and efficient execution of research and development efforts.
The project (co-funded by the European Commission under the ISF programme) is coordinated by the Centre of Crime and Security Sciences of the Universities of Trento and of Verona and carried out in partnership with the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) Secretariat, Italian Anticorruption Authority (ANAC), the Romanian National Agency for Integrity, and the Centre for the Study of Democracy (Bulgaria).
As the project gains momentum, regular updates will be shared to keep stakeholders and the public informed about the progress toward achieving the project’s objectives. For more about the project, please visit the project subpage HERE.
