The OSCE Presence in Albania in collaboration with the National Coordinator against Corruption and the European Union Delegation organized a high level forum to mark the International Anti-corruption Day, which took place in Tirana on 9 December.
The forum has been followed by four thematic sessions on the efficiency of anti-corruption measures in Albania. The event was a stock-taking opportunity to share best practices in fighting corruption and to stimulate a debate on anti-corruption policies and mechanisms in place. It brought together representatives of Albanian institutions, International Organizations, media, academia, civil society organisations, and anti-corruption practitioners.
Regional Anti-corruption Initiative Acting Head of Secretariat Mr. Tomislav Curic took part in the event as a speaker during the Session “Integrating Lessons Learned – How to strengthen co-operation in the fight against corruption?”. In particular, Mr. Curic spoke about the role of Civil Society Organizations in monitoring anti-corruption policy.
The thematic sessions has been organized in the framework of the ongoing OSCE project “Support Anti-corruption Measures in Albania”, supported by the Italian Government, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and in-kind contribution of the Italian School of Public Administration.
