The delegation from the RAI Secretariat attended the launch event of the GlobE Network Regional Component for the Western Balkans, held on September 5th, 2023, in Vienna, Austria. The GlobE Network plays a pivotal role in advancing international collaboration, enhancing institutional capacities, and facilitating the exchange of information among law enforcement agencies and anti-corruption entities globally. The establishment of a regional component of the GlobE Network in the Western Balkans will further fortify the institutional capabilities within the region, enabling them to actively participate in international law enforcement cooperation.

During this visit, the RAI Secretariat actively participated in the Resumed 14th session of the Implementation Review Group of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption and the 17th Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on Asset Recovery. Additionally, productive meetings were held with the Ministry of Justice of Austria and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria. The coordination meeting was held with colleagues from the UNODC Civil Society Unit.
