Head of RAI Secretariat, Ms. Desislava Gotskova, and RAI Senior Anti-corruption Advisor, Ms. Aneta Arnaudovska met with the Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption of Slovenia, Mr. Robert Sumi, and the Senior European and International Relations Advisor for the Prevention of Corruption at the Commission, Mr. Gregor Pirjevec.
Slovenia has had the status of the RAI observer since 2017, and this opportunity was used to discuss options of advancing Slovenia’s status in RAI from an observer to a member.
At the meeting, participants exchanged views on the future concrete steps towards the Slovenian membership to the RAI, and the accession of Slovenia to the International Treaty on Exchange of Data for the Verification of Asset Declarations. They also discussed the possible future avenues for cooperation and the role of the RAI platform in professional networking among the anti-corruption bodies in the region.
At the meeting with Ms. Jana Repansek, Director of the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF), the Head of RAI Secretariat, Ms. Desislava Gotskova, and RAI Senior Anti-corruption Advisor, Ms. Aneta Arnaudovska discussed the concrete avenues for establishing cooperation in the akin areas of the organizations’ work plans, exchange of know-how and experts in the specific areas of RAI and CEF activities, as well as mutual promotion of both organizations’ knowledge resources.
