Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) Secretariat in cooperation with the Agency for Prevention of Corruption of Montenegro and the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC) organized Training on Corruption Proofing of Legislation in Montenegro, in Budva on 24 April and Podgorica on 25 April 2018.

The Trainings are part of the Regional Programme on Strengthening the Capacity of Anti-corruption Authorities and Civil Society to Combat Corruption and Contribute to the UNCAC Review Process, which is implemented by RAI Secretariat in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), supported by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).

The purpose of the Trainings was to build and strengthen the capacity of the institutions in conducting corruption proofing of legislation, by learning how to review the form and substance of drafted or enacted legislation in order to detect and minimize the risks of corruption that the rules could facilitate. The Trainings  gathered representatives of the respective institutions in Montenegro, both on central and local level.
