Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) Secretariat held a Workshop on Corruption Proofing of Legislation in Podgorica, Montenegro on 16-17 March 2017.

The Workshop was organized in cooperation with the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, Montenegro under the Regional Programme on Strengthening the Capacity of Anti-corruption Authorities and Civil Society to Combat Corruption and Contribute to the UNCAC Review Process.

The purpose of the Workshop was to discuss and identify the options for introducing the Corruption Proofing in Montenegro and into Agency current processes. RAI Expert on corruption proofing Mr. Tilmann Hoppe shared possible models for establishing corruption proofing, based on the best practices and experiences from the Region. The Workshop served for setting the future steps that need to be considered and taken in order to develop a Methodology on Corruption Proofing.

Based on the Workshop outcomes, RAI Secretariat will provide the Assessment Report on the most optimal corruption proofing model to be applicable in Montenegro.
