The 26th RAI Steering group meeting was held on October 24th 2017, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The meeting is the main forum of the Initiative, which will provide ground to the participants to take the decisions that will be implemented in the framework of RAI in the course of the following period. The Steering Group Meeting discussed, inter alia, RAI 2018-2020 Work Plan, Evaluation of the RAI 2016-2017 Work Plan, and RAI Budget for 2018.
Moreover, RAI is proud to announce that Slovenia has formalized its cooperation with RAI by sending the formal request for status of Observer. The formal request was presented at the today’s Steering Group meeting by Mr. Boris Stefanec, Chief Commissioner of the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption of Slovenia and duly granted by the present RAI member countries.
Steering Group also welcomed Ms. Jana Repanšek Director of Centre for Excellence in Finance (CEF). CEF is international organization with the mission to support capacity development for finance officials in South East Europe through learning. CEF serves as a knowledge hub for the region combining topical expertise and in-depth knowledge of countries in the region with a good comprehension of how reforms take place. Ms. Repanšek presented the work of CEF followed by the discussion. RAI Secretariat will continue to foster the partnership with CEF.
The Meeting was held back-to-back with the regional forum on “Preventing Corruption through Efficient Risk Identification”, which will take place on October 25th and 26th 2017, organized by the Regional Anti-corruption Initiative, Regional Cooperation Council, in cooperation with Slovenian Commission for Prevention of Corruption, and supported by the Austrian Development Agency.
