20th Edition of RAI Summer School – Introduction to UNCAC and UNTOC Review Mechanisms

The 20th Edition of the Summer School aims to equip junior representatives of respective ministries, prosecutors and anti-corruption authorities from Southeast Europe (SEE) with the necessary knowledge and expertise in anti-corruption and organized crime topics. The main objectives of the 20th edition of Summer School is to provide the junior practitioners with an overview of the UNCAC and UNTOC Conventions, taking into account different obligations and activities that countries have in the implementation, including a review mechanism for both Conventions. This edition will also provide the participants with essential insights into content of the Conventions, enabling them to familiarize with the responsibility of each country in prescribing criminal offences, which preventive and repressive measures are at authorities disposal, about MLA and JITs, proactive investigations, controlled delivery, also providing insight how countries prepare for the implementation review mechanism, how they establish coordination on the national level, and prepare the meetings with evaluation countries. The program is envisioned to be delivered in an engaging and interactive format, where participants will delve into the various domains, gaining practical skills for self-improvement and interpersonal relations.
