The Head of RAI Secretariat, Ms. Desislava Gotskova, and RAI Senior Anti-corruption Advisor, Ms. Aneta Arnaudovska met with the Minister of Justice and Public Administration of Croatia, Mr. Ivan Malenica, and Ms. Natasa Novakovic, the President of the Commission for the Resolution of Conflicts of interest of Croatia. At the meeting with the Minister of Justice and Public Administration RAI activities in the region and the accession of Croatia to the International Treaty on Exchange of Data for the Verification of Asset Declarations were discussed. Ms. Gotskova reiterated RAI’s commitment to continue to support RAI member countries in specific areas such as conflict of interest, legislation on lobbying, corruption risk assessment, and corruption proofing of legislation, whistleblowers’ protection, and asset recovery.
At the meeting with the President of the Commission for the Resolution of Conflict of Interest possible avenues and the role of the RAI Secretariat for enhancing regional cooperation between the Anti-corruption Agencies were discussed. Ms. Novakovic highly appreciated the work of RAI and suggested the RAI platform be utilized through organizing regional events among the anti-corruption bodies in the region for connecting the anti-corruption professionals and for sharing the knowledge and good practice.
