5 December 2017, Kiseljak, BiH: Roundtable on "Application of special investigative actions in investigations of corruption offenses – good practices and established challenges"

Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) in cooperation with Center for business studies (CEPS) and Agency for prevention of corruption and coordination of the fight against corruption (APIK) organized a roundtable on “Application of special investigative actions in investigations of corruption offenses – good practices and established challenges” on 7 December 2017, in Kiseljak, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Regional Anti-corruption Initiative (RAI) was represented by Head of Secretariat, Mr Vladan Joksimović, and Anti-corruption Expert, Mr Tomislav Ćurić. RAI also provided the participation of an International Expert, Mr Drago Kos.

The roundtable was organized with the purpose of supporting the implementation of measures from the Anti-Corruption Strategy in BiH foreseen in the Strategic Objective “Improving the Efficiency and Effectiveness of Judicial Institutions and Law Enforcement Bodies in the field of Anti-corruption”.

The aim of this roundtable was to exchange experiences and best practices in applying special investigative actions in investigations of criminal offenses with the characteristics of corruption in Bosnia and Herzegovina. There also was a presentation of good practices from the region as well as international standards for the application of special investigative techniques and the protection of human rights in their application. The roundtable also presented the results of the scientific work and activities of the academic community and the non-governmental sector in this area.
