Borisov also highlighted the importance of cooperation among partner services in the fight against organized crime on an international scale and noted that the measures taken by Bulgaria to protect the EU’s external border amidst the ongoing migration crisis indicate the country’s readiness to deliver on its commitments as a EU Member State.

The two IACP officials are in Sofia as part of a working visit on the occasion of the international conference of the Southeast Europe Police Chiefs Association.
