The OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI) organized a roundtable on Exchange of experiences between BiH Anti-Corruption institutions and regional counterparts on protection of whistle-blowers, on 4 October 2017 in Banja Luka.
The roundtable is part of the support that the Mission and RAI Secretariat are providing to the Republika Srpska (RS) Ministry of Justice in the development and implementation of the RS Law on Protection of Persons Reporting Corruption, adopted in June 2017. Esteemed roundtable participants from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, and Croatia were invited to share their expertise and experiences in implementation of similar legislation in the region, their knowledge on practices related to protection of whistle-blowers, and to discuss ways ahead. Invitees also included representatives of relevant anti-corruption bodies from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina who are currently in the process of developing respective laws on protection of whistleblowers.
